Are Contacts Right For You?

If you currently wear contacts or intend to in the future, you’ll need a contact lens evaluation. This is different from a comprehensive eye exam. Our optometrists will perform specific tests to evaluate your vision with contacts.

The exam measures your eye’s surface area to determine which size and type of contact lens will work for you. A tear film evaluation may also be necessary to determine if you have enough tears to comfortably wear contacts throughout the day.

With the results of your exam, we can provide a contact lens prescription for you. It is important to note that your prescription for contact lenses differ from traditional glasses. An improper fit or prescription can cause damage to the health of your eyes.

Once an exam and prescription has been determined, Wink Optical can work with you to determine which type of contacts you prefer. These include disposable, extended wear, and even colored. Our office can walk you through the ordering procedure as well.

Wink Optical will supply you with a trial set of contacts and follow-up to determine how your eyes have adjusted.
